From staff training days to team building sessions, hospitality, and industry regattas, Sunsail corporate events provide tailor-made programmes with added passion, thrills and adventure. We think it beats a Powerpoint presentation, anyway.

Our event coordinators will organise every detail on your behalf, from travel, accommodation and catering to entertainment and branding. Destination

Our corporate events programmes take place in the heart of UK sailing at our Port Solent base, where we can cater for all elements of your event, including racing, branding, catering and accommodation.

Our Port Solent base is home to one of the world’s most modern and largest one-design fleet of charter yachts, and the area is suitable for all levels of sailor. This famous sailing area is home to the spectacular Portchester Castle, famous historic ships, the iconic Spinnaker Tower, Cowes and many other well-known Solent sailing destinations.

What’s included

Sail under the guidance of expert skippers and crew.
No experience needed. Many beginners are inspired to learn to sail after an event, and we ofer discounted courses from our Portsmouth base.
Turnkey solutions – we can arrange every detail, including travel, accommodation, food, drinks, entertainment, boat branding and even prizes!

We have a matched fleet of high-performance racing yachts to cater for groups from 5 to 300 people.
Sail from your ideal location. We’re more flexible than ever, and can meet you in Port Solent, Gunwharf Quays, Hamble, or the Isle of Wight. Wherever you want to be, we will be.
We ofer a huge range of pre-organised industry races and regattas in the UK.

Programmes

Prometheus offers corporate sailing programmes for one or two days, including an overnight stay aboard your yacht. Your personal Prometheus event coordinator will work with you to design a bespoke programme to meet the specific requirements of your business, regardless of your team’s sailing experience.

We offer a full corporate events service, so your company’s time can include regattas and inter-industry company challenges, relaxed cruising in the waters of The Solent and corporate hospitality and entertainment on shore.

We can assist with with company incentives, conferences, team building, management training, branding and sponsorship – all elements of a successful and productive corporate sailing event.

Corporate events programme includes:

Hire of one of our identically matched fleet of Sunsail 41.0s, Prometheus skipper and wet weather gear for 10 people.
Tea, coffee and bacon rolls on arrival in the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club.
Two-course buffet lunch on board
Soft drinks pack including tea, coffee, water, cola, lemonade and orange juice.
Tea and cake reception on return to Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club.
All pre-event and on-site management.

One-day programme

Typical itinerary:

8:30am: Breakfast on arrival at the marina.
9am: Guests introduced to a Prometheus skipper.
9.30am: Stow kit onboard yachts followed by a safety brief and yacht familiarisation. Depart for morning sail.
12.30pm: Lunch on board. An alcohol pack including champagne, wine and beer can be provided at an additional cost.
2pm: Fun race begins. Prometheus skippers will helm over the start line, and then it’s over to your crew to put their new skills to the test.
4pm: Return and hand over yachts.
4.30pm: Afternoon tea and cake.
5pm: Guests depart at their leisure.

Two-day programme

Typical itinerary:

Day one (evening)

7pm: Arrive at Port Solent, meet your Prometheus skipper and stow kit onboard yachts. Safety briefing and yacht familiarisation.
8.30pm: Dinner at the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club overlooking Port Solent marina. Guests sleep on board yacht overnight.

Day two

8am: Tea, coffee, bacon butties and Danish pastries served in Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club.
9am: Return to yachts and depart for practice sailing in The Solent.
12.30pm: Anchor off Isle of Wight for a buffet lunch and soft drinks on board. An alcohol pack including champagne, wine and beer can be provided at an additional cost.
2pm: Fun race begins. Prometheus skippers will helm over the start line, then it’s time to put your skills to the test.
4.30pm: Return the boat to Port Solent and hand over yachts.
5pm: Afternoon tea and cake served in Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club.
5.30pm: Guests depart at leisure.
