1. Anse Chastanet

Anse Chastanet is one of the most well-known areas in St Lucia, and it is not hard to see why. Anse Chastanet is a pinnacle of untouched beauty – with silky charcoal-grey sands and lush green hills hugging the beach, it feels like the perfect escape.

Anse Chastanet, known for its silky charcoal-grey sands bordered by lush green hills, is a pinnacle of untouched beauty. Snorkelers and divers can explore the colourful coral reef that lies beneath the sharp drop-off – you can learn about the Best Diving in St Lucia here. There are also a number of great places to eat along the beach, and a 4-star hotel just around the corner. This is one of the best beaches in St Lucia to visit if you want a taste of everything the island has to offer.

2. Grand Anse

This is one of the best quiet beaches in St Lucia – if the bustle of Anse Chastenet does not suit you, Grand Anse is the perfect alternative. An uncrowded piece of St Lucia paradise, Grand Anse Beach is every bit as tranquil as it is naturally beautiful.

Sitting pretty on the east coast of the island, the beach extends one mile long and is surrounded by scenic cliffs. Lucky visitors to Grand Anse may witness endangered leatherback sea turtles laying their eggs in the sand, which is truly a once-in-a lifetime experience.

3. La Toc

Another of the best quiet beaches in St Lucia is La Toc. This beach is a best-kept secret in St Lucia, but if you’re partial to pretty beaches with peaceful settings, this is a can’t-miss spot.

La Toc Beach is is a tranquil secret despite its location in bustling Castries, which offers secluded white sands adjacent to the Sandals Golf Resort.. Take a walk along the expanse of white sand, and feel your cares melt away with the lapping waves.

4. Marigot Bay

Marigot Bay is already a popular destination for sailors visiting the western coast of this island, so it must be no surprise to hear that it offers several of the best beaches in St Lucia.

As mentioned in our Top Things to do in St Lucia blog, the majestic beauty that abounds at Marigot Bay is so grand that aerial shots of this beach have made cameo appearances in quite a few Hollywood films. Marigot Bay is actually the host site of an array of much smaller beaches, but no matter where you step ashore, you can expect to find good vibes and gorgeous island backdrops.

5. Pigeon Point Beach

Pigeon Island is home to Pigeon Island National Park, which is where you’ll discover the pristine sands of Pigeon Point Beach. This is one of the best family beaches, offering plenty of activities and amenities to enjoy with your children.

In addition to providing a prime spot for picnic lunches, there are also food vendors and restaurants located right on the beach. As we explain in our Insider’s Guide to St Lucia, Pigeon Island is also the place to soak up some history – after enjoying the beach you can visit Fort Rodney and indulge in a fun photo-opp from atop an old firing cannon.

6. Reduit Beach

There is plenty to see and do along the lively shores of Reduit Beach, one of the most popular and best beaches in St Lucia. Found within Rodney Bay, this beach is an ideal location for shopping, dining, beach bar-hopping, and enjoying all kinds of water activities, with a number of rental facilities readily available.

Here, sugary white sand spans almost five miles long, and you get a stunning view of the imposing Mt. Pimard. If you love to hike, you could climb up to Pimard Summit before retiring to the beach for some sunbathing and swimming.

7. Sandy Beach

If you’re an adventure-seeker or water sports enthusiast, you can’t pass up an afternoon at Sandy Beach. Situated on the southernmost point of the island, Sandy Beach is one of the best beaches in St Lucia to get active.

It’s well known for being a kitesurfing hotspot – if this is something you’ve always wanted to try, then this is the place to do it. If this isn’t quite your speed, you can recline under the palm trees instead, and watch the world go by. 8. Smuggler’s Cove

Few places satisfy the pillaging pirate in us all like St. Lucia’s Smuggler’s Cove, a secluded little beach on the north side of the island and a great spot for capturing photos.

This crescent of sand is framed by walls on all sides, one of the best beaches in St Lucia to get a sense of seclusion from the rest of the world. Whether you lay back on a lounger or explore the rockier areas for marine life, your time will be well spent here. Consider heading over to The Cliff at Cap afterwards for a delicious evening meal overlooking the sunset.

S9. ugar Beach

Lastly, we have Sugar Beach. We’re not the only ones who think this is one of the best beaches in St Lucia – many visitors rank Sugar Beach as the #1 beach in all of St. Lucia because it is so majestic and beautiful.

Because it is nestled in between the magnificent Piton Mountains, Sugar Beach offers some of the most breath-taking views you’ll ever encounter. There are free loungers (and more luxurious ones you can rent) dotted about the beach. The cerulean waters here are perfectly clear, making it a lovely place to take a leisurely swim. Consider a night in the nearby Viceroy Resort for a five star experience, or simply bask in the wonder of this awe-inspiring location for an afternoon. This beach is an absolute must-see while you’re in St Lucia.
