Travel Protection Options

Because we care about your vacation investment, Sunsail offers two travel protection programs to ease any concerns during your charter. To provide you with peace of mind amid uncertain circumstances, we are also offering new flexible rebooking terms.

Travel Protection

You may protect your charter by purchasing a Travel Protection Plan administered by Trip Mate, a Generali Global Assistance & Insurance Services brand. Trip Mate’s Travel Protection Plan provides coverage for things like Medical & Dental, Trip Cancellation, Baggage Delays, Trip Interruption, and certain losses while traveling internationally or domestically.

This optional Travel Protection Plan must be purchased before your final payment.

Optional Trip Cancellation For Any Reason coverage is available via Trip Mate’s Travel Protection Plan too. This allows the insured to cancel their scheduled trip for any reason, provided they cancel at least 48 hours or more prior to your Scheduled Departure Date. Payment for this coverage must be received within 21 days of the initial deposit for your trip and no later than your final payment. Additional terms, conditions and costs apply. Not available for residents of NY.

Our Yacht Damage Waiver, offered through Sunsail, reduces your possible financial liability should your yacht or equipment be damaged during your vacation.

Other Insurance Needs

Some special types of charters will require additional insurance or deposits, such as the Racing Deposit required for yachts chartered for entry into regattas. Please speak to one of our Vacation Planning Specialists for details on charter yacht insurance.
