Get to know your boat and your new flotilla companions at our base at marina Agana, a charming coastal Marina village of ramshackle Mediterranean houses and quaint waterside restaurants. The port’s convenient location gives you the chance to visit the historic and UNESCO protected harbour town of Trogir (just 15 minutes by taxi) and the ruins of Emperor Diocletian’s Palace at Split (40 minutes) before you depart, or simply relax in the Sunsail lounge or on the nearby beach.

Marina Agana to Milna, Brač

Milna’s network of ancient streets hides a number of excellent shops and restaurants, sure to keep your attention until it’s time to move on. Swimming in the bay near the quiet Marina Vlaska is a refreshing way to spend a hot Croatian afternoon.

Stari Grad, Hvar

The flotilla is staying on remarkable Hvar island for another day, sailing around the northwestern tip and into the bay of Stari Grad. It is said that the Greek hero Jason and his Argonauts came here and founded the then-called Faros while looking for the golden fleece.

Discover Stari Grad

UNESCO sites and museums

Petar Hektorović’s castle -Tvrdalj, with its fishpond and a dove-cot over it, is the most famous building in Stari Grad, with a statue of him put in front of it. This renaissance poet built it throughout his entire life and it had the same importance for him as his literary work. Another point of interest would be a UNESCO-protected area – the field of Stari Grad, unchanged for two millenia, it has fed generations and generations of settlers.

Suggested lunch stops

The many coves and beaches at the entrance of Stari Grad bay are perfect for a quiet lunch. Pick up a mooring buoy or anchor in your very own bay and enjoy a swim in the shade of pine trees.

Free Sailing Day Hvar

By now you’ll have brushed up on your sailing skills and feel confident enough to head out into the Adriatic on your own or in small groups. The free sailing day is your chance to explore and see any sights you were longing to visit that aren’t on the flotilla itinerary. Set sail from Stari Grad and head to wide-known Hvar town, overnighting in a busy marina, or pick up a buoy in the southern Vinogradišće bay, soaking in the numerous beach clubs. If you want to sail further afield, you and your crew can also choose to head to the island of Vis. It is a great place to explore and a chance to rack up a few blue water miles along the way.

Nečujam, Šolta

Nečujam bay is a large cove on the northern side of Šolta island, with enough space for every yacht in this flotilla to anchor safely tucked away from any winds. It is also an ideal place to set up a dinghy race, so be prepared for some exciting competition!

Discover Šolta island

Suggested lunch spots

Hidden amongst steep cliffs of southern Šolta, the entrance to Tatinja bay is marked by a lone rock in the middle of the bay. To the right hand side inlet are a couple of mooring buoys, belonging to a well hidden restaurant, serving only self-grown and self-caught food from open fire, in a relaxed and family atmosphere. A great choice if you don’t want to cook yourself.

Nečujam, Šolta to Marina Agana

Sail into the Adriatic once more, putting the island of Šolta behind you as you return to marina Agana. Remember all the fun moments at the prize giving party in the base in the evening. On Saturday, take the time to explore Split further, chilling out on the popular promenade or searching the local markets for a few Croatian keepsakes. Make the most of your final day and soak up as much of the atmosphere as you can.

After a complimentary breakfast and first morning briefing, sail out and get your crew accustomed to life on board – your first stop is just a short hop away! Enjoy your day swimming, exploring, and sailing, then meet up with your crew in Drvenik Veli – a tiny village on Drvenik Veli island. You will wrap up your day in one of the smallest towns on this route.

Discover Drvenik

Sandy beach
Croatia isn’t well-known for sandy beaches, but our crews know how to find even that – just around the corner as a great day stop and lunch break find a small sandy beach, great to build castles in sand, or for kids to play in.

Blue Lagoon
A very busy bay – the blue lagoon, is just around the corner as well. Check out the cool bar and pristine blue water before joining your crew on the other side of the island.

Zlarin Island

Zlarin is the only village on the small island situated at the mouth of the Krka river. Historically the island is famous for the harvesting and processing of red coral and there is a small museum and beautiful coral jewellery shop dedicated to this tradition. Cars are banned from the island, giving it a special charm and making it the perfect place to relax. There is usually space to moor on the town quay, which offers shelter from most winds, but can get very choppy when a north-westerly is blowing.

Discover Prvić

Just across the channel is another little island, Prvić, with mooring balls and town quay. The museum found here is worth a visit as it depicts the life from a Croatian inventor, the first person to jump with a parachute, Faust Vrančić.

Žirje Island

Get off the beaten track and head into a wonderful and island-packed archipelago of Šibenik, following the wind and tacking your way to the most remote one – Žirje. On the south side of it the flotilla will make a raft and spend the night in between the rugged bays, ideal for exploring, snorkeling, hiking and star gazing. One little restaurant a bit up the bay will serve beautiful home made cuisine with freshly caught fish and home grown vegetables, and a short hike will take you to an old abandoned fortress.

Discover Žirje Island

UNESCO treasure

Croatia has numerous UNESCO protected sites, 2 of which are in the area of Šibenik town – St. Nicholas fortress that acts as a guardian to the town’s channel, and The Šibenik cathedral. The town also has numerous fine restaurants to try some of the best Dalmatian cuisine, and also the first Michelin star restaurant in Croatia – right next to St. Jacob’s cathedral.

Free sailing day Krka

The free sailing day is your opportunity to set your own agenda and explore the Adriatic on your own or with a small group of friends. Choose to spend the day further exploring Krka National Park—one day barely seems enough, after all—or sail to the nearby islands of Zlarin or Prvić. Make the most of your free sailing day and take in the peaceful beauty of the Šibenik region. For those who want to buff up their miles – head into the Kornati islands National Park and practice tacking and jibing between small islands and reefs.

Meet up with your flotilla friends again in the large, sheltered harbour of Rogoznica in time for a drink in a waterside bar. Enjoy the perks of being on a quay, and go for a long walk or head to one of the many restaurants lining the shore, soaking up the vibrant little town.

Discover Rogoznica

See out the Dragon’s Eye

There is a local legend that a dragon is still sleeping in the Dragon’s eye lake, undoubtibly about to wake up any time. Join the locals into cliff jumping to the lake in summer months and test your agility and skill, or just walk by it on the way to a great panoramic view above the marina Frapa.

Rogoznica to Marina Agana

On the last day of your Krka flotilla holiday, you’ll depart Rogoznica for Marina. Sail south from Rogoznica, keeping the small atolls around Arkanđel Island to your port side, then turn north when you reach Drvenik Mali, skirting the headland until you arrive back at marina Agana. Spend your last evening tasting a local peka meal with your flotilla friends at the prize giving ceremony.

Croatia is full of tiny churches erected at the top of the hills, and one like that is also found above the Sunsail base. Get your hiking shoes on, take lots of water and head up to Drid, Our lady of the snow church and get ready for some lovely views.

Marina Agana – Brač

Marina Agana is just a 20-minute ride away from the Split airport, situated in a small town- Marina. While waiting for boarding after getting situated with check in, guests can have lunch at one of the restaurants, do their provisioning, or just hit the beach while sipping coffee or a cocktail.

Destination for the evening is Bobovišća bay, found on the western side of Brač island, 18 nautical miles from the base, it is a small town with 2 restaurants. The bay is perfect for kayaking and paddling. Milna town with its bars and nightlife is only a 5 min taxi ride away for those looking for a night out.

Discover Bobovišća

Explore this small town
This secluded town is quiet and ready to be explored. A Croatian poet used to live here, making his sisters a beautiful memorial overviewing the little town. Go kayaking or paddling in the bay or take a taxi to go further inland and view authentic Brač island’s hidden side.

Bobovišća to Pučišća

Leaving Bobovišća bay head northeast and begin your trek around the island. Along the way the northern shore has several beautiful bays to spend an afternoon swimming or snorkeling, such as Splitska bay or Postire. Another spot on the way is Supetar town – a lively place full of tourists and hotel resorts. This evening’s overnight destination is Pučišća town, at the end of a deep and protected bay. This town boasts the deep stonemasonry tradition with a rich history waiting to be told.

A history of stonemasonry
This town is steeped in a rich history of stone work, the stone used to build the white house in America was shipped from here. Check out one of the 7 remaining forts hand carved by stone masons on this island.

Free Sailing Day – Brač

The free sailing day is a chance to choose your own destination for the evening. To the east is Luka or Povlja bay on Brač island with excellent shelter and anchoring possibilities. Makarska town is a modern and lively town, with great night life and beaches. For hikers or nature lovers Biokovo mountain has an awe-inspiring skywalk. Sumartin town is the youngest town on Brač island, but it has the oldest ship building in the Adriatic. Bol town is on the southern tip of Brač island positioned right next to the famous Golden Horn beach. Bol is popular for windsurfers and divers, and is home to the highest peak of all Dalmatian islands. Inquire for more options on your free sailing day.

On this day take charge of your itinerary and set your own agenda. There are many options and locations to explore on the way to Vrboska to meet back up with the flotilla the next day.

Vrboska town, Hvar Island

The flotilla meets back up again on Hvar island, on the north side in a sheltered bay of Vrboska. This town is known as “Little Venice”, because the bay goes so deep inland it starts to seem like a channel. The flotilla will be spending the night on a town quay, where there is a great spot for a “rakija” tasting. Rakija is a schnapps, grappa, or liquor, there are various names and even more tastes.

Explore Vrboska

The Church of St. Mary
This small town offers a unique experience, make sure to explore the iconic Church of St. Mary used in defense against the Turks in the 15th century. If you are looking for something for the taste buds Jelsa town is only a short ride away and has the Tomić winery with wine tasting.

Lučice bay, Brač island

It is a short sail from Vrboska to Lučice bay only 16 nm, which allows for a lot of day stops and exploring on the way. For example, make a stop on Golden Horn beach on Brač, Smrka bay on Brač and see an old submarine tunnel, or Blaca bay where one can hike to a monastery carved in living rock. Once you arrive in Lučice bay go for a snorkel and explore the caves that line the bay. A group meal is planned for this night at a local restaurant, and Milna town is about a 20 min walk away for those who want to explore further.

Explore Lučice bay

Choose Your Day Stop
There are several day stop options along the way to Lučice bay, like Blaca monastery. If you remembered to bring hiking shoes, an hour hike into Brač island’s slopes will bring you to a monastery carved into living stone. A tour guide will show you through the monastery’s collection and explain how one could get a piano up the steep slopes a couple of hundred years ago.

Lučice bay to Marina Agana

Friday is the day the flotilla makes its way back to the base. If weather permits guests can sail back along the southern side of Šolta island, visiting bays like Tatinja or Jorja on the way, or even stopping in Maslinica town to explore. In the evening prizes are given out and guests can choose to spend the night in the Marina town or venture to Trogir with a taxi, visiting the old kern of the town, a site full of history.

On the way back to Marina Agana pick a beautiful bay to stop, like Nečujam bay on Šolta island. There, you will find a small wreck to snorkel and explore.

Explore UNESCO sights
After the flotilla prize giving, think about heading into Trogir , a lively UNESCO-protected town, just a short, 20-minute long ride away. 2000 years ago, it used to be the capital of Roman muncipality, now – walking among its cobbled, narrow streets makes one step back in past. Lose yourself among the intertwined alleys, check out the Kamerlengo fortress, and wrap up the night with a delicious meal.

Marina Agana

Our base is situated at Marina Agana in Marina village, just a short taxi ride from the ancient coastal cities of Trogir and Split. Marina is a peaceful Croatian fishing village made up of cosy, terracotta roofed houses built from bright white stone. It’s an impossibly picturesque start to your Croatian flotilla holiday, and ideally situated to reach the coastal and island highlights of Dalmatia. Spend your first day exploring Split (a 40-minute taxi ride away) or kick back with a pivo (beer) in one of Marina’s waterside bars.

Marina Agana to Maslinica, Šolta Island

Sunday starts with a flotilla breakfast and the first morning briefing. There, details about the route are explained to each skipper and first mate, as well as ideas for the day stops for lunch. There are a few popular locations that are usually chosen including Krknjasi blue lagoon, or Fumija bay. The destination for the evening is Maslinica town, found on the western side of Šolta island. The once family-owned castle that resides here is now a heritage hotel adjacent to Martinis Marchi marina where the flotilla is moored up for the night. The town itself is surrounded with quiet beaches, and is filled with traditional stone houses typical for Dalmatia villages. Try the gin and tonic prepared for you by the lead crew before heading to one of the classy restaurants for a taste of local produce.

Maslinica to Zlarin island

Push off from the dock and head north to Šibenik archipelago, on the way passing by inviting sandy bays like Stari Trogir or Vela Rina on Drvenik Mali island. Feel free to stop for a swim before reaching Zlarin town quay. This is the first Croatian island to eradicate plastic waste, and there are also no cars on the island. It is a typical example of a small Dalmatian fishing community, and time isn’t really of the essence here. Tune into the island beat, grab a coffee or “bevanda” and prepare your palette for home made specialties on your group meal in the evening. If there is time visit the local coral museum to learn more about the island’s history.

Discover Zlarin

The Red Coral Ceremony
Visit during summer and witness the coral ceremony, where locals don traditional dress and sing a capella in order to escort their “coral hunters” to sea where they will spend multiple months and catch red corals.

Zlarin island to Skradin

The journey to Skradin town leads through a natural canal that used to be a riverbed, guarded by St. Nicholas fortress, one of many UNESCO protected forts in Croatia. Those who love medieval history simply must make a stop on Šibenik town quay and walk through centuries-old cobbled streets and pay a visit to another UNESCO heritage site – the Šibenik cathedral.

Discover Skradin

Traditional Croatian Peka
Skradin is a great place to try the traditional Croatian delicacy Peka. Peka involves cooking vegetables, meat and fish under an iron bell heaped with embers for several hours leaving the tenderest meat to taste. Choose between veal, lamb and octopus peka and try wine from a local winery for a full experience.

Suggested lunch spots
Šibenik is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. This pretty riverside town has a number of fine restaurants, including one awarded with a Michelin star, situated right next to UNESCO heritage- the St. Jacob Cathedral. or you can explore one of four forts that Šibenik is known for. One is now an open stage, hosting some of the most famous world music stars; one is a virtual museum; and one was posing as “Game of thrones” dungeon.

Free sailing day – Vis

Your first free sailing day couldn’t come at a more perfect time. Choose to spend two or even three nights in the spectacular Krka Waterfalls National Park, discovering the enchanting Krka River, hiking the forest trails or taking boat trips to the park’s islands and monasteries. Bike riding around Krka river can also prove to be an adrenaline-filled day-trip. While in Skradin, you can also visit the local winery a short ride away to taste several sorts of wine they produce.

Regoznica Town

Meet up with your flotilla friends on Thursday in Rogoznica town, on the Croatian mainland. This well-protected town has a compelling legend about a dragon in a lake, a lavender, labyrinth on the top of the hill, and numerous walking, hiking, and cycling paths to traverse, in addition to numerous restaurants and bars. The lead crew will have a group meal organized for this night and will be held close to the yachts in the centre of this old town.

Free sailing day 2 – Vis

On this day all of the one-week flotilla guests will head back to the base, but for our Vis Flotilla sailors the best part of the holiday is just starting. The weekend is the best time to visit this mesmerizing island and we suggest spending both of your free sailing days around its shores. The lead crew are more than happy to point out the best spots depending on the preferences of each crew, and take care of all the necessary bookings and reservations in time.

Free sailing day 3 – Vis

There are plenty of things to do and see, simply sailing 30 miles to the island across open water is a delight. Once there, choose between wreck diving, wine tasting, sampling legendary meals like traditional peka, or lobster specialties, or scootering across the island with amazing views, visiting the blue or green cave, sunbathing on sandy beaches, or doing the island military tour. Ask yor lead ship for suggestions.

Milna, Brač island

After two full days of free sailing time to catch up with your flotilla crew and a new group of co-sailors from Hvar Flotilla in Milna Town on the western side of Brač Island. Brač is known for its marvelous white stone taken from the local quarry, which was even used as a building material for the Washington White House, and it gives all the local houses their glow. The long winding promenade is ideal romantic walks, and the gin and tonic party prepared for you by your lead crew is held on a spot just above the marine Vlaška, overlooking the perfect sunset.

Jelsa, Hvar island

<It is time to say goodbye to Milna and head to Hvar island. On the way to the little town of Jelsa on the northern side of Hvar island the flotilla is passing by some great stops for snorkeling, swimming and exploring. In Smrka bay is a hidden old submarine tunnel and a hiking path to a 13th century monastery, or you can anchor off Golden horn beach next to Bol town on the south side of Brač. Once tied safely on Jelsa town quay, use your time to explore this quaint part of the island.

Hit the beach

On the way to Jelsa you will pass the biggest and best beach in Croatia: The Golden horn, next to small town Bol on Brač island. Drop anchor or moor on the town quay, check out the beach bars, try wind surfing, play beach volleyball, snorkel, get a tan- everything is there. The beach is made of tiniest pebbles and formed into ever-changing shapes daily by the waves and wind.

Stari Grad town, Hvar island

The flotilla is staying on remarkable Hvar island for another day, sailing around the northwestern tip and into the bay of Stari Grad. It is said that the Greek hero Jason and his Argonauts came here and founded the then-called Faros while looking for the golden fleece.

Free Sailing Day 4 – Vis

This is the last free sailing day for this two week flotilla, and the location could not be better. Pribinja or Luka Tiha is just outside of Hvar island and is infamous for parties, filled with nightclubs, and a perfect destination if you would rather just relax and swim. Hvar town on the southwestern end of Hvar island is the infamous place for parties, filled with nightclubs, beach bars and high end restaurants. Vinogradišće bay is one of the most popular bays in Croatia, and it owes its good name to well known restaurants and Laganini beach bar and its cocktails.Ask your lead yacht for more options on this day.

Nečujam bay, Šolta Island

Nečujam bay is a large cove on the northern side of Šolta island, with enough space for every yacht in this flotilla to anchor safely tucked away from any winds. It is also an ideal place to set up a dinghy race, so be prepared for some exciting competition! On down time, pick up the snorkeling gear from your lockers and check out the sunken wooden boat in the south end of the bay. The shallows of the bay are also filled with pen shells that are protected, so don’t try to take them out of the sea. To sum up a great day a group meal is arranged at a nearby restaurant.

Nečujam bay to Marina Agana

After two weeks of sailing, sampling, tasting, swimming, sunbathing and exploring, this Friday it is time to head back to the base. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to make a couple of day stops on the way back or participate in the flotilla regatta en route. The lead crew will prepare some prizes for all flotilla participants of your shared sailing experience. You can then decide if you would like a quiet evening in Marina town, or head to Trogir town, another Croatian UNESCO pearl, for a night out.

Marina Agana

Our base at Marina Agana in Marina Village is the first port of call on your Croatian food and wine adventure. Arrive early to explore the nearby UNESCO World Heritage towns of Trogir and Split. At marina Agana you’ll meet your new flotilla companions over dinner in the local Konoba (restaurant). We recommend the Croatian delicacy peka, prepared ‘under the bell’ in a special dish heaped with embers. This traditional baked dish is delicious with veal, lamb, or octopus.

Maslinica town
Just a short walk from Šešula Bay will take you to Maslinica town, with its 5-star marina and white-stone houses in a tiny bay.

Every island in Croatia has a proud wine-making history. The one on Šolta is kept alive by Vicko Kaštelanac. He will be more than happy to pick you up from Šešula Bay and drive you to his vineyards for wine tasting and local delicacies, all still made by hand.

Šešula to Komiža, Vis

Depart early from Šešula for an exciting spot of blue water sailing as you strike out for distant Vis. Vis is the most Westerly of the Dalmatian Islands, so hope for a strong wind as you point your bow towards this Adriatic gem. Head for Vis’ western coast, where the traditional town of Komiža waits in a broad and sheltered bay. This beautiful, hill-fringed town is home to a unique waterside castle and is a great spot to try Vis’ famous wine and seafood or scuba diving.

Discover Vis

Explore the blue cave

Komiža town is perfect starting point to visit the Blue Cave, 6 miles away on tiny Biševo island. The cave is under protection, meaning one cannot enter it with their own dinghy, but has to be taken in for a 20-minute tour. That can either be arranged directly from Komiža with a speedboat, or after mooring in front of the cave entrance, when the tour guide picks you up on their boat.

The light bends in perfect angles to make the cave illuminate blue, and is best suited for a visit when sun is at its highest point.

Komiža to ACI marina Palmižana, St. Klement

Turn north at the Vis islands’ westernmost tip, pointing your bow in the direction of the spectacular Pakleni Islands. Situated just across the channel from the famous town of Hvar, Pakleni Islands are the best place to leave your yacht safely in order to discover this gem. On the biggest island in the archipelago- St. Clement, on the northern side, is the ACI marina Palmižana, the busiest marina in the Adriatic.

Vinogradišće bay

This has become the most popular bay in the area, due to the excellent high-end restaurants found here, the “Laganini” beach club, and its proximity to Hvar town. Hike here from Palmižana marina, enjoying numerous botanical plants and open-air art exhibition, or grab a mooring buoy for a whole-day lounging.

Jet-set Hvar town

Hvar town is known as the “Croatian St. Tropez”, full of clubs and bars. Take a water taxi to avoid dealing with traffic, and take in the sights, including the fort above the town, where the dungeons await.

St. Clement to Vrboska, Hvar

Cruising east along Hvar’s northern shore will take you alongside the Golden Horn beach on Brač island, reaching the narrow inlet at Vrboska. Croatians know Vrboska as ‘Little Venice’, and when you arrive you’ll soon spot the resemblance. Walk the waterfront and explore the network of streets at Vrboska, or pull up a seat in a waterside restaurant for some delicious Croatian cuisine.

The Fortress Church of Saint Mary of Mercy is a fascinating structure and well worth a visit. The original church was rebuilt as a fortified castle after a Turkish attack in the 15th century.

Vrboska to Bobovišća, Brač

Complete your tour of the Dalmatian islands with a return visit to verdant Brač. Back out on the Adriatic, you’ll squeeze through the “Gate of Split Channel” to find the town of Bobovišća on the western end of Brač island, hidden at the end of a long, shimmering bay. The town has been built around an attractive forking inlet, both of which sides have numerous mooring buoys. Stop for dinner in a single local restaurant or take a taxi into the Brač’s inland to discover more about its tradition.

Discover Brač island

Suggested lunch spots

Golden Horn, or Golden Cape, is probably the best known beach in Croatia. It is found next to Bol town, on the way from Vrboska it will be visible on the starboard side. The beach gets a couple of centimeters longer every year, and due to currents and winds around -it never looks the same. Explore the numerous bars, do some snorkelling around near-by caves, or rent a bike or scooter and go to peak Vidova Gora – the highest tip of all Dalmatian islands, guaranteeing an amazing view.

Bobovišća to Marina Agana

It’s a short journey from Bobovišća back to our base at Marina where you need to arrive no later than 5 pm, so take the time to enjoy your final day and do a little more exploring. Visit Krknjaši Lagoon for a long lunch break in picturesque surroundings, or stop at the ancient fortified town of Trogir on your way back to marina Agana. With so much to see along the Dalmatian Coast, you’ll want to make the most of any hours you have left.

Marina is a peaceful Croatian fishing village made up of cosy, terracotta roofed houses built from bright white stone. It’s an impossibly picturesque start to your Croatian vacation, and ideally situated to reach the coastal and island highlights of Dalmatia. Spend your first day getting familiar with the region and your yacht, doing provisioning for your two weeks, or kick back with a pivo (beer) in one of Marina’s waterside bars.

Vis to Pasadur, Lastovo Nature Park

Your next port of call is Lastovo nature park, one of Croatia’s best kept secrets, where time stands still and you feel like you are alone in the world. Pasadur is a little town on Lastovo’s west shore, connected to neighbouring Prežba island with a charming stone bridge. Mooring with lazy lines is possible in front of hotel Solitudo- the only hotel on the island. While there are mooring buoys in the nearby Veji Lago bay, remember that anchoring in this protected park is forbidden. Take a long, romantic walk along the promenade and adjust to island time, taking things slow.

Use the short distance to your next overnight spot to make a stop all around the island and savour the sights and soak in the nature in its purest form. Once in Saplun bay, relish in the sandy beach and peace and quiet.

Saplun to Pomena, Mljet National Park

Point your bow to the east, and after a short sail you will reach the seductive island of Mljet. As you reach the shores of Mljet, stop for swimming and snorkelling in the warm waters that caress the coastline. You’ll finish your night in the sheltered cove of beautiful Pomena. Backed by a dense Aleppo pine forest, this lovely village offers a handful of restaurants and shops to explore.

Pomena to Dubrovnik

Passing along the shores of Mljet island, and through the Elaphiti archipelago, you arrive to the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. Dubrovnik Old Town is renowned as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved medieval walled cities on the planet – short sightseeing trip is not to be missed. Dubrovnik is home to a number of Renaissance palaces and ancient citadels, while the warren of pedestrianised streets reveal numerous restaurants, cafés and shops. Choose between two marinas here, and head into the town, walk along the walls, discover Stradun- the main street or get into the cable car above the town for some amazing views.

Dubrovnik to Ston

Today you’ll set sail from Dubrovnik for Ston, a coastal town perched on the slender, finger-like peninsula of Pelješac. You’ll have enough time to explore the town- we suggest checking out the city walls, the second longest defensive walls in the world, also known as “European wall of China”. It was built by Dubrovnik state to protect the salt mine in a time when salt was more expensive than gold; today the salt pens are the oldest in Europe. After exploration, relax with a glass of local wine- Pelješac peninsula is the richest wine region of Croatia, some bottles are even exported to English court; and try the oysters – the best in the world.

Ston to Korčula town

A day’s sail from Ston, this leg of your bareboat sailing holiday takes just you to the quiet coves, luscious vineyards and sheltered beaches of Korčula. Stop along the way for swimming and snorkelling on the island of Badija, then explore the island’s 14th century Franciscan monastery. Back on your yacht, set sail for the lively town of Korčula. Here you’ll find museums, galleries and fine restaurants within the beautiful cobbled streets and defensive walls of the town. The evenings are filled with smells and tastes of local cuisine, and if you come at the right time,you might get to see the “Moreška”- atraditional dance with swords performed in the main square.

On the way are numerous bays along the north side of Korčula island where you can drop anchor and rest, swimming, kayaking or paddling along the lonesome coves. Vinogradišće bay is very popular, full of high-end restaurants, great cocktail beach clubs and mooring buoys to leave your yacht. Island-hopping between tiny islets of Pakleni archipelago and Hvar town isn’t reccommendable with your yacht or dinghy – that’s why there are numerous water-taxis. Enjoy the busy bay sipping a cocktail in the famous “”Laganini neach bar””, have a walk among the botanical plants of St. Clement island and hit the lively night scene in a restaurant or club. Considering the long sail you had, the bustling night scene, and the proximity of Hvar town just waiting to be explored, we suggest spending two days in this bay to experience all it has to offer. ”

The nightlife in Hvar is the main reason why so many young tourists come in the summer, choosing from a wide range of night clubs, sleeping till noon, and sipping coffee in the afternoon while preparing for an exciting evening. Vinogradišće to Stari Grad, Hvar

After two days discovering Hvar town, go north to another of Hvar islands’s treasures – Stari Grad. The name itself means old town, due to its age, dating back to Greek times. UNESCO saw fit to protect the fields behind Stari Grad, which have been farmed for more than 2000 years and still hide numerous archeological finds. Most of them are visible in the town’s museum, right next to the house of poet Petar Hektorović with a hidden garden and a fish pond. Take a swim in one of the bays on the way to the town and then pick up a mooring line on the town quay and visit a restaurant, tasting “gregada” – a special fish stew prepared only on Hvar island.

Stari Grad to Lučice, Brač

A short hop over the channel and you are on Brač island. Seize the day and head to the southern tip to see the Golden Cape, the acclaimed pebble beach that shifts daily depending on the currents and the wind. Or climb the hills of Brač and visit the old monastery carved inside the rock for a back-in-time experience. Lučice is a serene bay, filled with mooring buoys. Cook on board or decide to sample some local food in the sea-side restaurants. You can also have a long walk through pine tree forest and reach Milna town, a charming coastal town on the other end of the hill.
