Procida to Sant'Angelo, Ischia
To launch our journey, we’ll head towards the island of Ischia and drop anchor on the east coast to enjoy lunch up against the medieval Aragonese Castle. Once satiated, set course once more to anchor overnight on the southern coast of the island in Sant’Angelo. Known for its mineral-rich thermal springs thanks to its volcanic legacy, Ischia has stolen many visitors’ hearts with its natural beauty.

Ventotene is one of the greatest scuba diving spots in Italy, and home to a diving academy. Explore the wrecks, treasures and marine life of the Ventotene Marine Reserve.

Lying directly above Port Romano, the epicentre of Ventotene town is a textbook example of authentic Italian seaside village charm.
Ventotene to Ponza
Sail on to the next island in the Pontine chain, beautiful Ponza, which is situated 25 miles to the west. Here we will moor overnight in the Port of Ponza on the eastern side of the island. Snorkel the crystal-clear waters and explore the beaches and spectacular geological formations Ponza is known for. End the day’s adventures with a group dinner at a local restaurant, where delectable seafood cuisine is satisfying after a splendid day of sailing.

Next in our sights is Palmarola, the most westerly of the Pontine Islands. Serving primarily as a nature reserve, Palmarola’s coast is dotted with incredible cliffs and grottos, allowing you to dive and snorkel alongside the rich marine life of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We’ll anchor overnight at this craggy gem of the Mediterranean.

Mooring overnight, enjoy a sociable happy hour before then stroll the bustling main street riddled with great nightlife and cuisine.

Your first day on the water takes you far out into the Gulf of Naples to the little island of Ventotene. You’ll cruise past Ischia’s flawless coastline and enjoy a straight shot of blue water sailing as you leave Procida in your wake. Navigate to Porto Romano on Ventotene’s northeast coast. Here you can moor in safety to explore the pretty little town and visit the interesting Museum of the Sea, or sail along the island’s southern and northern shores in search of quiet bays and beaches.

Porto Romano to Ponza
Today you’ll sail to the next island in the Pontine chain, beautiful Ponza 25 miles to the west. Let the Tyrrhenian slip away beneath your keel until Ponza grows larger in the distance. Anchor at Frontone Bay on the eastern side of the island or continue around to Chiaia di Luna in the west. Both offer sheltered anchorage and allow you to explore the bays, beaches and spectacular geological formations Ponza is known for. The snorkelling in Ponza’s crystal clear waters is excellent.

Ponza
Enjoy a second day in remote, scenic Ponza, exploring the many hidden coves and caves of this spectacular island. Moor at Ponza harbour and walk streets of pastel coloured houses and traditional churches climbing the island’s low hills. Stay on Ponza or take a day trip to the nearby island of Palmarola, a nature reserve of incredible cliffs and grottos where you can dive and snorkel the life rich Tyrrhenian Sea.

Ponza to Sant'Angelo, Ischia
Relish the opportunity to experience a day of open water sailing across the boundless Tyrrhenian Sea. Enjoy a long spell of blue water cruising from Ponza to Ischia, setting off early to enjoy the fantastic sailing conditions of western Italy. Bask in the freedom of open water sailing as you cruise past Ventotene Island towards Ischia, where you’ll moor in the marina at Sant’ Angelo. Spend the late afternoon lounging on the beach or relaxing in a local bar after your long spell on the water.

Sant' Angelo to Marina Grande, Capri
A short cruise southeast from Ischia takes you to the glamorous island of Capri. Make for Marina Grande on the island’s north coast, where you’ll find a bustling marina filled with superyachts, pleasure boats and other playthings of the rich and famous. Capri is an island of spectacular scenery, with high cliffs, hidden grottos and unusual rock formations making the island ideal for hikers and explorers. If you’d like a quieter place to overnight, then Marina Piccola on the southern side of the island offers more secluded anchorage.

Marina Grande to Procida
Cruise back across the Gulf of Naples towards our base on Procida. The final day of your Italian bareboat charter holiday sees you sail the true-blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea one last time before returning home. Make the most of your last day in the Phlegraean Islands to explore glamorous Capri or scenic Procida, stopping off at quiet bays and beaches for a swim or settling down in sleepy restaurants for one last taste of delicious Italian cuisine.

Sorrento
Facing the Bay of Naples, you will anchor in the beautiful coastal town of Sorrento. In the morning, from Sorrento, you will have the opportunity to visit the archaeological site of Pompeii.* You can enjoy an aperitif on the terrace, and after, you will get to eat some of the freshest food accompanied by local wines in a traditional restaurant in the centre of the city. On Monday morning while moored in Sorrento, flotilla participants will have the opportunity to visit the fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompeii. With a private guide, explore the rut hewn streets carved by chariot wheels and dotted with small white stones that served as ancient streetlights beneath the moon. Marvel at the mosaics, frescoed menus, and lead pipes for running water, as history comes to life before your eyes. Gaze upon the casts of humans and animals as your guide tells their stories and you will glimpse into their lives before the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD that left the city frozen in time.
