Head to Milos beach on the western shores of Lefkas for strong winds and high waves perfect for kitesurfing.
Sivota – Lefkada
Leaving Lefkas Town behind and sailing down the length of the island towards Sivota. There are lots of bays to stop for a swim along the way. You will sail past Skorpios, originally owned by Aristotle Onassis and can anchor in the bay to the south where he built a beach hut jor his 2nd wife Jackie kennedy. Tonight is a group meal.

Discover Sivota
A vibrant, charming, lively, picturesque village. It gets especially busy on weekends, with yachts arriving daily onto the pontoons. This influx brings a wave of visitors/sailors, making for a lively atmosphere. There are many fantastic restaurants to choose from, all offering delicious food.
Fiskardo – Kefalonia
Head to the celebrated island of Kefalonia. Enjoy a few miles of exciting open water sailing as you make for one of Greece’s most famous islands, best known for Captain Corelli, olive oil and ancient history. The port of Fiscardo is a traditional Grecian island village with a history stretching back thousands of years. Today Fiscardo is home to many fine restaurants and tavernas where you can while away a quiet afternoon with your new friends.

Discover Fiskardo
Fiskardo’s charm lies in its ability to offer a mix of relaxation, exploration, and adventure. Whether you’re interested in history, nature, or just soaking up the sun, Fiskardo has something to offer every visitor. Visit the Roman Cemetery archaeological site near the harbour, includes ancient graves and sarcophagi dating back to the Romans. There is a dive centre for guided trips. Several walkable beaches or swim off the back of the boat. Explore venetian architecture as its one of the few places on the island that wasn’t destroyed in the 1953 earthquake and a short walk from teh village is the remains of an old venetain lighthouse and the newer one built by the British in the 19th century. Agia Eufemia – Kefalonia
Nestled on the stunning island of Kefalonia, Agia Eufemia is a charming coastal village that beckons sailors with its picturesque beauty and inviting waters. As you approach this serene destination, you’ll be greeted by the emerald hues of the Ionian Sea and the striking backdrop of lush, rolling hills. The waters around Agia Eufemia are generally calm, but always check the local weather forecast before setting sail. The prevailing winds in the region are typically light to moderate, making for pleasant sailing conditions. Be mindful of the occasional strong gusts, especially during the summer months.

Today is your day to shine. Put your sailing skills to the test and gain confidence on the water with your free sailing day. Set out for the secluded bays and harbours dotted around the Ionian, stopping at sleepy fishing villages along the way or simply relaxing. It’s entirely up to you. No matter what you choose, your lead crew is available to give you top tips and the latest weather reports.

Vathi – Meganissi
Vathi is the main port of Meganisi, a small island located just E of Lefkada. Filled with fishing boats and sail boats, known for its picturesque and natural surroundings. The harbour is the heart of the village and the waterfront is lined with tavernas, cafes and shops. Enjoy some superb local greek cuisine.

Vathi’s sunken plane
Discover the mysterious sunken plane wreck located at the bottom of the shallow harbour, best viewed from shore in the early morning.

Lefkada Marina- Day 7
This night will be our final evening and the lead boat will organise either dinner or drinks ashore where prizes will be given out related to the weeks activities. We head back to the base to return your yacht, along the way enjoy the beautiful sail and scenery. Try your hand at one of Lefkas’ popular water sports. The flyfish hydroplane is an adrenaline rush, allowing you to skip off the surface of the water like a stone. If you’d rather enjoy a quieter, more Zen-like climax to your flotilla holiday, then hiking Lefkas’ wooded hills or enjoying a shot of ouzo in a quiet taverna is the perfect way to spend your last day in the Ionian.

Lefkas to Vathi, Meganisi
Follow the breakwater out of Lefkas marina, past the tiny islet of Forti and into the Ionian Sea. The first leg of your flotilla journey takes you south along the length of Lefkas Island to tiny, green Meganisi, believed to be a part of Odysseus’ Kingdom in Homeric mythology. The town of Vathi is home to one of the world’s largest natural harbours and represents a beautiful spot to moor for the night. Hike the forested hills around Vathi for spectacular views across the Ionian Sea or get to know your new flotilla friends better in a local tavernas while watching one of Greece’s beautiful sunsets.

Head east from Lefkas harbour for the wide bay of Porto Varco. Here you can sit on the broad and beautiful white sand beach and enjoy a leisurely lunch with your toes in the ocean.
Vathi to Vasiliki, Lefkas
Cruise from sickle-shaped Meganisi Island around to Lefkas’ south coast. Skirt the craggy headland and make for the enormous Vasiliki Bay. Despite the region’s natural beauty, Vasiliki is known for only one thing: windsurfing. A strong, thermal wind (known locally as an ‘Eric’) ensures that Vasiliki offers some of the best windsurfing in all of Greece. If you prefer your thrills on land, however, mountain biking in the hills around the town is great fun and offers unmissable views.

Walk the coastal path to Agiofili Beach, a secluded little strip of soft sand embraced by white stone cliffs and overlooking brilliant blue water.

Vasiliki to Fiscardo, Kefalonia

Foki Beach, a pebble beach lapped by calm, crystal clear water, is a perfect swimming spot, while the taverna just behind the beach serves traditional Kefalonian meat pies.
Free sailing day – Lefkas
Now that you’ve had time to familiarise yourself with your yacht and gain confidence on the water, a free sailing day is your chance to explore the Ionian at your leisure and seek your own personal adventures independently or in small groups. From Fiscardo, the numerous bays, beaches, coves and inlets of sleepy Kefalonia are yours to explore, while a short hop across the Ionian will take you to Ithaca, said to be the birthplace of Odysseus. Beyond Ithaca, tiny, uninhabited Arkoudi and Atokos are great fun to explore. If you’re unsure what to do with your free sailing day, your lead crew will be on hand with top recommendations and the latest weather reports to ensure you make the most of your free time.
Abelike Bay
Abelike Bay on the northern end of Meganisi is a large, natural cove barely touched by human hands. The undeveloped shores of Abelike Bay are free from the kind of amenities and facilities you’d expect from the average sailing destination, and this is the charm of the place. Swim and snorkel in the warm waters of the bay without a soul to disturb you, and enjoy a final beachside barbecue with your new flotilla friends as the sun dips below the horizon. This untouched piece of paradise is the perfect location for a final blissed-out evening before you return to the hustle and bustle of the everyday.

Lefkada to Prevesa
Sail north from Lefkas’ marina through the narrow channel that separates the island from mainland Greece. Pass beneath the road bridge that connects Lefkas with the mainland and head out into the Ionian Sea. You’re sailing to Prevesa, a picturesque Grecian town set on a peninsula reaching into the Ambracian Gulf. Prevesa is a historical and cultural hotspot filled with palaces, castles and museums, while the gulf offers excellent swimming and sunbathing.

Prevesa to Parga
Let the gentle winds of the Ionian Sea carry you north along the coast to idyllic Parga. With the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos to your port side and the many beaches of Greece’s western shores to your starboard, the day’s sailing is especially picturesque. At Parga you’ll find a flawless Ionian jewel, with a quiet harbour surrounded by traditional Mediterranean homes and framed by fragrant pine-clad mountains. Lounge on one of Pargas’ many beaches or explore the town, where the slow pace of everyday life gives way to a lively world of busy tavernas each evening.

Parga to Sivota Mourtos

Lefkas to Paleros
You’ll begin you Meganisi adventure with a 12nm passage across to the mainland town of Paleros. Paleros is a great spot to catch the local flavour of the Ionian Isles, offering summertime puppet shows, theatrical performances and traditional Greek dancing in the town square. Enjoy the traditional flotilla punch party and dine on freshly caught octopus, bream and bass with your flotilla companions at one of the many waterfront tavernas.

Today you’ll enjoy a stretch of coastal line-of-sight sailing from Paleros down to the town and eponymous island of Kalamos. The port is a lovely place to moor, scattered with shops, traditional tavernas, and Greek bars dotted along the harbor and beachfront.

Discover Kalamos Town
Ancient ruins and spectacular views
Take the walk up from the harbour to the ruins of the monastery for fantastic views over the Ionian towards mainland Greece.
Suggested lunch spots
Drop anchor in one of the many coves dotted along the north end of Kalamos Island and enjoy swimming in the deep turquoise waters, followed by lunch on deck. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for dolphins.
Kalamos Town to Vathi, Ithaca
Turn due south out of Kalamos Town, and take on the longest leg of the week, a 20nm reach to Vathi, on the famous island of Ithaca, home to Odysseus. Continue down the coast until you reach a narrow waist 200m across. Navigate through the narrow entrance into the Kolpos Molou Bay, which shelters the little town of Vathi, the capital of Ithaca. Moor up and revel in this center of Greek archaeology, folklore, and culture.

After your last free sailing day, the flotilla meets up once more for another evening on shore. Make for the eastern coast of beautiful Meganisi, spread like a many-fingered hand over the flawless blue counterpane of the Ionian Sea. Sail into deep and sheltered Port Athene, where you’ll find a cluster of traditional Mediterranean houses crowding around the picturesque harbor. Enjoy traditional Greek dancing and delicious seafood in the local taverna with your flotilla companions.

Take the half hour jaunt inland to the traditional Ionian village of Katomeri and explore the gift shops, tavernas, bars and cafés dotted amidst stone houses colourfully decorated with flowers.
Port Athens, Maganisi to Lefkas
Finish your Meganisi flotilla holiday back in Lefkas, where you have one last chance to enjoy drinks and dinner with your flotilla sailing companions at one of the town’s many restaurants. You might even have time to explore the town’s charming boutiques and jewelry galleries or take a pleasant walk to the Faneromeni monastery for picturesque views over the sea and salt marshes.
